What’s the story behind Tastes of Tahini?

In 2023, Tastes of Tahini™ began as a cottage food business in Chicago, Illinois. For Ruthie, the founder, halva was a beloved treat growing up on the East Coast. On some very special nights, she would sit down with her family and giddily watch as her mom cut halva into small pieces and passed them around the table. She never forgot the taste: smooth yet nutty, fudgy yet velvety, and finely textured.
At its essence, Tastes of Tahini™ is about the simple joy of sharing something memorably sweet together. We hope our halva becomes part of those special moments for you.
How should I store and serve Tastes of Tahini™ halva?

Keep your halva refrigerated for the best freshness and texture. When you’re ready to dig in, Enjoy it chilled or let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes for a softer, fudgier bite. For hosting, or sharing, flip carefully onto a plate and serve it on your favorite platter.
How is the halva shipped, if I order online?

We carefully package your halva in insulated, temperature-conscious packaging with ice packs to keep it cool and fresh. Once it arrives, simply pop your tub in the refrigerator.
